Top 12 of 2012

Happy New Year.

I hope you all had a fantastic time celebrating the New Year in and I wish you all love, joy, good health and success in the coming year.

Over the last couple of weeks I have seen a lot of 'End of Year' Quizzes and summaries. I usually take part in them, but this year I decided that these authors were too awesome to just be mentioned in an end of year summary so I thought I would do a whole promotion.

For  the next 12 days I will be spotlighting a book and author that I read and loved in 2012.
2012 was such a good year for books and I read so many great stories and entered so many fantastic worlds.
I total I read 166 books in 2012. Not quite achieving my target of 200 but I'm happy with how many I did read. As you can imagine picking just 12 favourites out of those 166 was hard, but I've done it.
These were all the books I read:

So who am I going to feature? I debated whether or not to list them here, wondering if I should just let you discover someone new each day but as I have all the book covers in the banner at the top (had you noticed?) I decided to list them all.

So here is the schedule:
-->

3rd January – Ally Condie

4th January – Alexander Gordon Smith

5th January – Maria V Snyder

6th January – Derek Landy

7th January – Teri Terry (Giveaway)

8th January – Keira Cass

9th January – Charlotte Blackwell

10th January – Erin Morgenstern

11th January – C.C Hunter

12th January – Beth Revis

13th January – Michelle Madow

14th January – Closing Post.

I contacted the authors on my list and 6 of them have done interviews for me and at least 2 have Giveaways for you to enter. The prizes are awesome - if I could keep them myself I would. :P
I hope you'll come back everyday to share some love with these authors and maybe discover a new book yourself.
I am so excited to get this event kicked off, so make sure you come back tomorrow to read about the awesome Megan Duncan (and enter the first GIVEAWAY!!!!)

I want this event to reach as many people as possible so I am running a Giveaway of my own that will run throughout the promotion.
I am offering a choice of one of the books mentioned, purchased from the book depository which means this giveaway is International!
All you have to do is enter the Rafflecopter below.
(This is the first time I've ever used Rafflecopter so I hope it works)

  20. Anna & The French Kiss is a good book. Cinder seems to be getting a lot of love. It almost made it into my top 12 but was just beaten.
Shadow and Bone was also one of my favourites. Want book 2

I haven't read daughter of smoke and bone yet, but I have it.

Pure is one that I've looked at a couple of times but never got round to reading. May have to try it now. :D
