I have read the Artemis Fowl series, but I prefer the earlier books in the series, wasn't too keen on the ending.

Alice In Wonderland is mad but I love it too! The Secret Garden holds a magic and I did enjoy A Little Princess but in this rare case I prefer the film (probably because I loved the film years before I read the book!)

I've never read Pippi Longstocking or anything by Astrid Lindgren. I'll have to have a look.
