Book Blogger Hop: February 4th-7th & Follow Friday (3)

Book Blogger Hop
Book Blogger Hop is hosted by Crazy-for-Books and is an awesome way to for book bloggers to interact and find each other. Such a wonderful idea! There's a new question every week that all the participating blogs have to answer.

This week's question is:

"What are you reading now and why are you reading it?"

My Answer: well, i just finished 'The Secret Life of Bees' by Sue Monk Kidd, i read it because i heard about the film and it sounded good, but if a film is based on a book, i have to read the book first. I am now about to read 'The Sign Of Four' by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, this is the second book in the Sherlock Holmes series, I'm reading it because I've always been fascinated by things to do with Sherlock, but had never read the original stories, so I'm now going through them.

The Hop lasts Friday-Monday every week, so if you don't have time to Hop today, go back later and join the fun!  This is a weekly event!  And stop back throughout the weekend to see all the new blogs that are added

If you've stopped by my blog from the hop, welcome, it's great to have you here, please feel free to look around, and follow. I will then visit you in turn. :D

Follow Friday

Follow Friday is an opportunity to discover and follow other book related blogs! Want to join? Check it out at Parajunkee.

This week's question comes from Katy of Vision Quest Fail

What is the book you are currently 'pushing'? (Pushing mean trying to get people to read it)

As I work in a library i tend to push a lot of books and promote a wide range of books, but lately I have been encouraging 'Matched' by Ally Condie, 'The Hunger Games' by Suzanne Collins and 'Shiver' by Maggie Stiefvater. All fantastic novels and all quite different from each other. These are definitely my top 3 of the moment.

What books are you pushing?

REMINDER: I also need to ask all you wonderful Bloggers for some help. I have entered a competition on Facebook on 'Creative Writing Now' Page, However i need people to 'like' my entry. The entry with the most 'likes' by 11th Feb wins a prize. If you are on Facebook please go to this link and press like. Thank you all very much :D

Good answer! The answer on my book blog is a little embarassing; it’s a book that’s been sitting on my TBR pile for a year.

To my shame, I only opened the book because I remember it contained an Amazon gift card.

Hop on over!
