FF (133)

Follow Friday is an opportunity to discover and follow other book related blogs! Want to join? Check it out at Parajunkee or Alison Can Read

This week's question feature is
The Mile Long Bookshelf

How do you handle a book you don’t like? Do you DNF or do you power through?

My Answer: I used to power through with everything! But since I've been blogging and have so many more books to read and deadlines to reach I have rethought my strategy and I tend now to put them as Did Not Finish.

I give each book 100 pages to grab me, if I am still really struggling by then I will give up (unless the book is only 150 pages in which case I will finish it regardless)

Life is just too short to read books you don't enjoy, especially with so many fantastic ones out there still to read.

Happy Hopping & Blogging. :D

Basically the same answer as I gave! I give it at least 50 pages, depending on how hard of a time I am having. Old GFC follower.

Thanks all. :D

Seen quite a lot say they push on, which surprised me.
As I say, used to be my strategy but just can't do it anymore, I have to give up if I'm not enjoying it.

Have a good week all.

I hate to not finish a book. It does happen occasionally though. I always give it my best effort before giving up.
