"When you read a book that you just can't get into, do you stick it out and keep reading or move to your next title?"
I hate giving up on books, i have this hope/trust that they will get better. I have only ever given up on 2 books. If i'm not hooked by page 100, i start to think about giving up, but i very often persevere, actually happened last week. Started reading a book, really wasn't enjoying it, but pressed on and read it all, and the last 100 pages were very good and i;m now on book 2 which is very good, so glad i didn't give up. Really also depends on my mood, but mostly i will try to carry on.

I try to finish every book I read, too (well, fiction, anyway... I tend to drop non-fiction like a hot potato if it doesn't hold my interest).
it depends a lot on my mood as well. if the book just isn't working for me, i'll try to pick it up a few days or a week later.
i do finish most of the books I read, but sometimes, a book just isn't for you.
if it still doesn't work, it goes back to the library, to the used bookstore for a trade in, or in dire circumstance, into the trash!
Thanks for visiting. I tend not to read non-fiction unless it's something i really want to know about, so thats not so much of a problem for me.
Yeah i always give a book a fair chance and will try again a few days later like you, but as you say sometimes books just aren't for you.

Heather, thanks for following. the two books i have given up on are :
1) Capt. Hook: The Adventures of a Notorious Youth by J.V Hart & Brett Helquist.
-Just couldn't get into it, totally unbelievable even in the far depths of my imagination
2) Was a fantasy novel but mixed a lot with Sci-fi, had aliens or something in it. Just didn't enjoy it, but can't remember what it was, was quite a few years ago now.
