FF (50) & TGIF (33)

Follow Friday is an opportunity to discover and follow other book related blogs! Want to join? Check it out at Parajunkee.

This week's question feature is from
Kate @ Ex Libris

Q: The New Year is here — and everyone wants to know your New Years Blogging Resolution! What are you going to try to revise, revamp and redo for 2012 on your blog?

My Answer: In the New Year I am hoping to start a new rating system (look out for the post explaining that) I would like to start a feature, I've had a few ideas running round my head for a while. I am hoping to be a bit more regular with posts, my reviews have fallen behind lately so I'm trying to get back into that. And reallyI just want to have fun with it. I don't want Blogging to become a chore, it's always better if you enjoy it.

TGIF!

This Friday's Question:

First & Last: What was the first book you read in 2011
and the last you finished in 2011? How do you feel about these books?
Would you recommend them to other readers?

My Answer:

First Book - 'Grave Doubts & Heaven Sent' by Meg Cabot

This was the first book I picked up in the New Year. No particular reason just that it was next on my list. I did enjoy the series and would recommend it to people to read but it's not one of my favourites.

Last Book - 'Inheritance' by Christopher Paolini

I haven't completely finished this yet but I only have 150 pages to go and the year isn't over yet so I will finish this before the year ends. (hopefully by tonight)
This is the fourth book in the series (Eragon, Eldest, Brisingr) and I adore this series, I am a huge fan. I would definitely recommend it to others (in fact I've got a display up in the library promoting it at the moment)
Such good writing and exciting story lines. Pure magic. :D

Happy Hopping, have a great weekend everyone!!! Happy New Year. :D

I keep meaning to read the Christopher Paolini books but they haven't made it to the top of my TBR pile yet. But I need to because I have heard nothing but great things about them. Oh so many books--so little time!

I'm having fun reading these answers. I've only read the first Eragon book, but I know they are very good.

Happy New Year!

I really need to go back & give Eragon another try. I was reading it my young daughter and it was hard for her to keep up, so we put it down. Happy Reading ;)

Shanon - they are so good you should definitely ad them to your TBR list! Definitely so many good books but not enough time to read them all :D

Shirley - thanks, i've been thinking of doing it for ages, thought New Year was a good reason to make me do it

Nocturnal - I know too many good books!

Sam - welcome and glad you agree. :D

Tanya - :D thanks!

Annette - good to see everyones books, you should definitely read the rest!

Bookgenie - maybe you should try again when she's a bit older, so good but quite heavy. :D

Oh Inheritance. I've had my copy for nearly a month now, but I refuse to read it because I'm going to get all silly and emotional while I do. I only read two chapters and I already started freaking out.

Can't wait to see what you think of it!

Alexa - you should read it! My review should be up in the next couple of days. :D I love it so far though.

AnnMarie - thanks, good to have you here. ;D

Hi Christie, Hope you get to read them soon, still think the first is the best but the rest are all worth reading. I've read them all a couple of times.

New follower! I really need to make a rating system. I usually just write it out if I liked the book or not. A simple rating system would make it easier. Looking forward to your posts!

My plan for 2012 is to get to know other bloggers by inviting them to do guest posts on my blog.

Great resolutions! Good luck and can't wait to see what you have in store for us.

My husband adores the Inheritance Cycle. We made a deal a couple of months ago that if he read The Vampire Academy series, by Richelle Mead I would have to read The Inheritance Cycle. I had a lot to read when we made it so he said I better get to it in the beginning of this year.

It sounds good, I should like it =D
