Armchair BEA - Best of 2012 & Giveaway

Today is the 2nd Day of Armchair BEA, there were some fantastic introduction posts yesterday and I lvoe how it brings the blogging community together.
Today is the big Giveaway day on all the blogs and I couldn't resist joining in. But you have to read my post before you find out what you could win! Or you could skip to the bold writing that says 'Giveaway', I won't tell if you do!

So today's recommended discussion topic is the “Best of 2012”: to share some of your favorite books so far this year, and/or the the books being promoted at BEA.
So I am going to do a top 10, number 1 will be my ultimate favourite but the rest won't be in any particular order. So here goes:

10. Double Cross by Malorie Blackman.

This is book 4 in the 'Noughts & Crosses' series which I adore and was another fantastic installment. Couldn't have asked for more.

9. A Million Suns by Beth Revis

This is book 2 in the 'Across the Universe' series and I have to say it just keeps getting better, Revis knows how to capture your heart and mind and make something incredible.

8.  Amy & Rogers Epic Detour

This is a sort of contemporary coming of age story, bitter sweet and fun. One to make you laugh and cry.

7.  The Pain Merchant by Janice Hardy

This is book 1 in a trilogy, back to high fantasy and magic, well written and a real page turner, I fell in love with this series.

6. The Fury by Alexander Gordon Smith

This is creepy, scary, and my worst nightmare, but fantastic, gripping and amazing all at the same time. Gordon Smith is one of those writers I can't put down and I know whatever he writes - I'm gonna read it!

5. Arise by Tara Hudson

This is book 2 in the 'Hereafter' series and I was even more hooked by this second installment, she is certainly a rising star.

4. Black Dawn by Rachel Caine

This is book 12 in the Morganville Vampires series, and Caine is still going strong. I am so excited every time one of these comes out. I <3 Myrnin!

3. The Gathering Dark by Leigh Bardugo

This is book 1 in the 'Grisha' trilogy. I just finished reading this yesterday and it was In-Cred-Able!!! So good, magic, mystery, romance, powers and great characters. WOW

2. A Touch Of Power by Maria V. Snyder

This is the first in a new series and she just blows my mind. Snyder is another author I just have to read. So incredible. High fantasy and fantastic writing.

And my all time favourite of this year so far is:

1. The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern

This book was just so original and different from anything I had read before. Filled with mystery and intrigue, a sense of magic and wonder. It draws in your heart and your mind and stays with you long afterwards. It is just incredible! I can't recommend it strongly enough.

Which leads me to the Giveaway:
