Synopsis
From the moment Kylie Galen arrived at Shadow Falls Camp, she’s had one burning question: What am I? Surrounded by vampires, werewolves, shape-shifters, fairies and witches, Kylie longs to figure out her own supernatural identity…and what her burgeoning powers mean. And now she’ll need them more than ever, because she’s being haunted by a new spirit who insists that someone Kylie knows—and loves—will die before the end of the summer. If only she only knew who she was supposed to save. And how…

But giving Kylie the most trouble is her aching heart. Gorgeous werewolf Lucas left camp with another girl, but he’s still visiting Kylie in her dreams. And Derek, a sexy half Fae who’s always been there for her when she needed him, is pushing to get more serious—and growing impatient, especially when Lucas returns. Kylie knows she needs to decide between the boys, and it’s tearing her up inside.

Yet romance will have to wait, because something from the dark side of the supernatural world is hiding in Shadow Falls. It’s about to threaten everything she holds dear…and bring her closer to her destiny.

My Review
I couldn't wait to get to book 2 as soon as I had finished the first one and I am so glad I had it ready to go.
Kylie is still at Shadow Falls and is trying to find out just what she is. More powers have developed but it just makes her more confused than ever. Miranda and Della are firm friends with her now and I love to see how their group dynamic works. Derek has become a more permanent fixture in her life which I was pleased about, but i must say I also like Lucas. This is one of the best love triangles I have read as even I couldn't choose who I prefer and normally I have a favourite hands down. I am leaning towards one more than the other but I'm not going to say who.
This book is really fast paced and whisks you up into the story. Kylie really develops as a character and everytime you think you have figured out what is happening to her something changes.
This had some really interesting twists and turns and things got a bit darker, rogue vampires, kidnappings, and stalkers, but there are some laughs too, the girls have a great sense of humour and I love Perry's quick wit. Also loved the Kitten transformation.
I read this in one day and pretty much in one sitting, I just couldn't put it down.
Had to go straight on to book 3, so that's it for this review, short and sweet as I needed book 3.
